Hello! This is a follow-up for the people who didn't come on the last lesson of Term 2.

Mr Ben talked about SDMA.
Guess everyone knew that already but i'll just say it again just in case!
hm, for starters, SVA is an abbreviation for School Video Awards, and SDMA would be School Digital Media Awards.
There's 3 different sections that you can compete in, Video, Animation and Audio.

So its like this:

Dearest Media Club,
It's my first time posting here okay O.o
I've got a lot of things to tell you guys, including seniors.
So bear with me if I crap a lot okay :D
I wanna dedicate something to a 2 person.

Firstly, OngWeiSheng.
As you all know, he's taking O's this year and he've already stepped down.
But I think all of you can see, that he's still helping us out a lot, right?
So to our dearest (Ex)Chairman, thankyouuuuuuuu very much.

Secondly, Adar.
I hope you all can take the effort to read her post.
When I say read, I mean, get the words in your head.
Because it is extremely true okay?
Although she's been pretty busy with her life,
She still puts in the effort to do something for Media.
So thankyouuuu too :D

&& To all the sec4s, thank you very much for everything also.
Your names might not be mentioned, but you're still appreciated.
I wish you guys all the best for you exams.

Now I think I'm going to nag again O.o
But to our current Media members ( Sec3s,2s,1s)
I've got pretty much to tell you all also, so bear with it.
I know, maybe to you guys, CCA's a bore.
I know some of you hate CCA, hate duties and hate me also.
I don't blame you guys for feeling like this,
But all of you really have to cooperate with me and Diane alright?
It's seriously not that easy to run a CCA, especially MediaClub.
We are responsible for every assembly, and even some very important events.
You guys might think that we're often neglected or whatsoever.
But think about it.
Without us, would there be morning assembly?
Without us, would there be Honours'Day?
Without us, would there be CNY, Teachers' Day Celebrations etc?
Without us, there's a lot of things that CANNOT be accomplished.
So think about it, we ARE very important.
People might not realize it at all,
You all might feel very unappreciated.
But I can guarantee you guys this,
One day, when someone comes forward and say " Thankyou AV "
You'll feel that it's all worthwhile afterall.
MediaClub isn't about sound system, it isn't about me,
It is about ALL OF US, working together.
No matter what happens, we really really need to stay as one.
I really hope we become bonded, because things will be much easier.
If we're united as one, MediaClub would be a much better CCA.
The juniors might not understand.
But I guess me, diane and the sec4s do, right?
We've gone through Official School Opening together, which was awesome :D

Anyway, I think i've nagged a lot a lot already.
I hope you guys really work together as one.
I know I haven't been in school for a while,
So I need your help in getting me reorganised, okay?
Lastly, to end this post, I shall thank these people ( again )

Hello Dear Media Club,

I know the stepping down of Secondary 4s mean that you people will have to take charge of things. What I hope to hear is that everyone of you will know how to cooperate, work together & support each other. First of all, have Respect which meant no rude behaviours. Juniors, respect ur seniors. Although some of you might be more experience or whatever, you people must still learn to respect ur senior as who they are. Its never an easy job to lead, esp a bunch of naughty juniors like you people :O So Respect your Seniors.
Be Responsible, turn up for duties & be punctual. Responsibility is something we must have in order to live a life that is answerable. For example, if you are responsible enough, you will make sure that the system runs smoothly. and even if it doesn't you have a reason to answer if anyone questions you. You people must be honest with one another, if you all try pushing blame to each other. you will start to be wary of how this CCA member thinks. you might feel that they are backstabber etc. so own up to your mistakes, cos if you made a mistake, you LEARN from it. & not runaway from it. Be Discilpine ppl, control yourself. Play when you can, work when you must. do not always be on 'play' mode, sometimes we have to press the 'serious' mode. Things can be accomplish faster & more wonderfully if everybody is serious in their task. EMPATHISE each other people! feel for each other, care for each other. we are one united club rmb? empathise with ur leaders, for it is not easy to lead. spare a thought for them and understand their agony. you may think that they are very strong however, everyone has their vulnerable side! so empathise! Lastly, always be resilient. no matter how many times the school forget to give credit to us, its okay! we have each other & we enjoy it right? Be resilient to accomplish what we have started, dont give up halfway. who knows what you people can accomplish in the future? I also want to add a point to be resilient in ur studies ok? :)

So why am i crapping so much over here? 1)So that you people will understand that the sec4s do care for you and you are not alone. if there is any help that you people need, you may approach us. :D 2)So that you people will understand what values is needed of you to make all things work 3)So that you people will not take everything for granted

honour day 2010 , a memorable day , for all.

This year will be the last year doing duty with sec 4 , next year , we on our own , no more reliable person/s with us . We must do ourself proud , pick ourself up , solve problems ourself just as we did just now , although sometimes they forgotten us , sometimes forgot to credit us for our hardwork , hardwork for so many resources of our club , we are still a united club .

Today was the last day of CCA for all the Sec 4... We had a Makan Session and followed by some project assignment given to all Sec 1-3 and as today was a special day, CCA ended at 5p.m.

Today during our CCA, we discuss about our committee and who is going to hold what position after all the sec 4 step down...After that we discuss on where we should have on our outing and what do we have for a last lunch together. At 5.15, we played Handiplus as we only left with 15min and it was quite fun....

Today we have our CCA after a long time searching for teacher to confirm if there is CCA as 1 of the member which is IVAN told people that there is no CCA today.At 3.30 we started on Photography where we learnt about taking photo about people walking/modeling and how to do panning. We learnt that due to the speed of movement, we will not be able to capture a perfect photo that focus on the model legs. We browse through all those photo we took and learn about all the bad point.

Hello , fellows CCA-mates.

Today we had a chinese new year celebration.

We started our duty at 9am ,

Jasper and Desmond then went up to 4E3 to ask Mr Yeo for the Video Camera, Camera And tripod stand, We were told that to capture classes that have their mascot and the ir hamper ready or working on it. ... Meanwhile , The others were working on a last minute rehearsal on the orchestra , At about 10.45am , the whole concert started , Jasper and i , work on the capturing of the footage using video camera and tripod , some footage were without tripod , Michelle , Ting Yi , Anna , Wei tian , Julian , vernon and etc , were at the back stage for stand by on mics and other things..While Chun Wee were in the control room , weisheng was on the performance duty , ... While taking some footage of the concert , a lot of people couldnt see , as we had to use it without the tripod =( , nvm , The whole concert ended at 12pm , and we packed up and went home!!

Here what happened in CCA!

We had lots of fun , with our trainer for that day , Mr Issac ,

And somemore , with 2 new sec 1 , 1 of it is Imran and ??? ,

So , we did our intro duction with these sec 1 again or first time (for them)?

Yea , So Mr Issac Recaped with us on different part of a camera such as

Shutter Button , Lens etc.

Activities of course , had many many many fun , too bad , sec 4 were not with us to have fun with us

we were told to snap Pictures ,

Our groups were ,

Sec 1 Girls (5) , Sec 1 Boys (2) , Senior (boys, 3) , Senior (girls ,6)

Each of us with one camera while the senior girl had 2.

Sec 1 Boys , Jon and Imran , their Camera were full of my picture =X

OMG , i had to erase it and they did it again

Meanwhile Jeremy and Jasper did on me tooo..

We were like paparazzi?

haha! ,

When Mr Issac import the picture into my account , tons of pictureessss..

And almost all the picture were me being snapped...... Wth >

After that we clean up and Went home !!..

Today(10/2/2010)

We had our CCA and a rehearsal on CNY where only sec 4 went for it so i do not know what happen during the CCA or what they learn. The rehearsal was such a mess as the instucter of GO keep changing the mic position and then they took up a lot of the stage space too. The GO took 1 whole hour to finish their rehearsal and then it was the SL time to rehearse then after that we could packed up and went off.

We had a short concert during assembly period due to the fact that Mr Quah,our vice-principal is going for further study.Only some of us was on duty as there is no need to have to much people as if there are a lot of people, there will be lesser space for us to move around with the mics. The assembly end around 1.50+p.m and we all packed up and went off.

first day when 4 more Sec 1 came to our CCA.

They were all girls ,

we did the studio training at the hall - backstage & Control

Mr Ben told us to clear the Stores and make it neat.

He also mention that we need a logistic ...

After that we went to control room and then he teach us on the facilities of the control room

Then , we were told by CW (or who?) , to teach the sec 1 something.

Then , us the some sec 2 , Taught them set-up of mic , coil wire ,

together with Adar and who?

While Wen Jun , And some sec 2 clear the stores for neatly and clean purposes

Chun Wee , Michelle and Wei Sheng meanwhile then do the test for the port mic

After that we all went home =)

Today(2/2/10),

We had a assembly and it was a skit by some people.Most of us came to help out for the duty and after that we packed up. At 2.30, we had an ICT training for lower sec and there are 9 classes who came which were 1E1,2,4,A1,3 and 2E1,2,4,A3 and the training was 30min where it ended at 3p.m. During the training we taught them how to operate the visualizer and all the connection.

Today 27/1/2010, we went back to media lab for system training and we covered what mic we have in the lab like handheld mic, shotgun mic and condenser mic and we were told that there was a 'Pop Filter' to reduce the pop sound made during singing or speaking. After that we went in to learn about the mixer and the SOP for it. We were told about the effect of the mixer and how to use the gain for sensitivity and the equalizer. We then went on to the chroma key where we set up the video cam and blue screen but we were unable to do it due to the connection problem of the chroma key and the background pic that was being played by the DVD player which made Mr Ben suggest to re-wire the whole system as the back is very messy. After that we all packed up and went home.

Today we had our first training for this year of 2010. 2 professional which were Mr Ben & Mr Issac thought us about all our equipment which we did not know about the name. First we were taught about the Chroma Screen which was the blue screen and what was the purpose of it and next was the spotlight. Mr Ben said that there is a SOP for it which first was to make sure that the leg are 90 degree so that the spotlight will not topple easily over and next was to unscrew the top of the stand so that if we are not very tall we will still be able to extend the stand of the spotlight. Next we learn about the wires and the connector which was XLR male & female, RCA, Quarter Inch Stereo male connector, BNC connector. After that it was the end of the CCA & we pack up and went home.

Today was the Secondary 1 Investiture and CCA fair. We went there by 7.30 to set up the hall so that by 8.45 the investiture could start. After setting up the hall, we set our Media booth for the CCA fair and at around 10.30a.m. the sec 1 came down and visited all the CCA and at around 1+p.m. we ended the CCA fair n we packed our thing then went home.

It have been such a long time since anyone had posted things in the blog cuz it a holiday but since the school had started we shall start posting our daily things. For today 5/1/2010, it was the 2nd day of the school and we had a assembly from 12-2 which was a speech from Mr Minjoot. Most of the us went for duty and we used a portable projector instead of the control room projector so that the projection will be clearer. Until 2p.m the assembly ended and there was a briefing for sec 1 and we waited for Ms Tng to finish the briefing then we pack up eveything and went off.

Guys, if u all dun wan to help packing thing up dun come and do duty since u are not helping.

hello. here to announce de long awaited CCA tee finally arrived today.
i apologise for de lousy quality due to my inexperienced and lack of social network. as you know price comes with quality.(most of the time) this time rnd is really cheap 11.50dollars only. i find that this is a real good catch as the CCA tee was delayed previously due to incooperation & price. in a haste to disallow the cancellation of CCA tee, i took over de job.. and settled it as fast as possible. what i do hope is your are happy with this first lousy cca tee though.

Hello Greendale Secondary School Media Club members, this is Mr Lance. I met some of you during the Teachers' Day celebrations and the Sec 1 Meet the Parents session. :)

Here are some issues for you guys to ponder about with regards to our Media Club:

1. What are some of the potential problems that you guys can forsee with regards to the things, issues related to Media Club that can crop up? These issues can be:

- Location related (in the school hall, classroom, parade square etc etc)

- Equipment related (mikes, radios, laptops, items in the control room of the hall etc etc)

- Event related (exams, events like Honours Day, Teachers' Day, National Day etc etc)

On friday(4/9/2009)

We had a meet-the-parent session for secondary 1, Me, Chun Wee, Vernon and Jia Kee went back to help out. We report back to school at around 4.30 to set up all the equipment. During the meet-the-parent, Mr Yeo talk to us about doing a set of guide for our media club about trouble shooting of our system. For example, what are we suppose to do if the mic suddenly stop working and we have to know that we have to check if the mic is out of battery or the system have broke down. Until 8p.m., Mr Minjoot finish his speech and we all packed up and set up the micpro for the exam at monday and we all went home.

however, Interact Club needs people to help them for reahearsel iin de library. @ 230pmm also.
we need about 3 ppl or 4. at least one who is experienced with the micpros.

we celebrated Teacher's Day in Greendale.We all report to the hall at 6.45 in the morning and set up all the equipment and at 9.15a.m. after all the program, the concert starts. Almost all help out for the concert and Xiao bin also help out too. At almost 11 the concert ended and we all packed up and went home.

I think i shall write in red to add more colour to the blog and no one talk about what happen during the CCA time o.O

On monday(17/08/2009),
We had our CCA where we all started discussing about the Farewell BBQ for Sec 4 and badge design was given as a project for the Sec 2 and 1 to do. For the BBQ we had come out with a list of food we want but we could not confirm the quantity as we do not know how many people are going for the BBQ. During the discussion, the Sec 2 and 1 came out with alot of badge design which are just like ordinary badge which is in form of square.Adar also accumulate the size of people who are buyign the CCA T-shirt and at 5.30p.m. we all left the media lab and went back home.

It been so long since i last post.

Today(5/8/2009), we had the National Day rehearsal of our school from 3.30 - 6.00p.m.
All the sec 3 stayed back and + Michelle, Anna, Ting Yi we did the rehearsal. Michelle, Ting Yi, Anna and Chun Wee did the parade in the parade square while all sec 3s were helping out in the hall. After the rehearsal, all of us talk with Mr Yeo and Mr Yeo decided to let 1 of michelle friend name, Xiao Bin, to help out for our CCA as there are shortage of Sec 2 :)We talk about lots of others stuff and we also discuss about something on the farewell BBQ for the Sec 4 so now we will had to start planning for the farewell BBQ for sec 4. That all........

Kkays.. now to tell stories...to those who didn't came for outin....

Here our outin journey:

For lunch:

We went to JustAcia to eat and we spent $50.50.....Tat restaurant is damn suitable for me~We took ice cream and pour it into the 7-up! Then the whole thing float up!!Later i will post some picture....

Then we went to Ehub! Buy movie ticket...and we watch Monster VS Alien
We bought 9 tickets.....Duncan,me,Wei Sheng,Julian,Chun wee,Vernon,Michelle,Adar and Anna...

Well we bought 3.15pm time for the movie...we went to Fairprice and bought some thing to bring it into the cinema....

When the time ' 3.15pm ' hit,Duncan was still not here...be4 tat he said that he dunno how come....then we told him through SMS....When we called him, he didn't even reply...

Then no choice, we went into the cinema at 3.20pm....

At about dunno wat time, michelle told us that he wouldn't be comin...so we waste the $6....lols...

So Adar Tot of an idea....post the ticket on media lab board as a memories of our cca First outin....

After the movie, we went back to sengkang and to Compass Point..then we went to Anchorvale Basketball court....

We reach there at about 6Pm....
And we had many fun there....
We end our journey at about 9+...but for me i end at 8+ as im goin home to have dinner while they went to Compass Point to have dinner....

HELLO . WE'RE BACK FROM SEC3 adventure camp.
IT WAS KINDA FUN . BUT KINDA SARKY TOO.
de fun part is the part where we get to do those fun activities such as kayaking :D hehe .
but however, the lodgin & toilet suck .
the bonding between classes are great too .
i hope all secondary 3 enjoyed it.

well... while we are at the camp.
there's no secondary 3. i sincerely hope that you ppl, i meant the juniors wil have some initiative to help out whn thr's no leader to lead ur. your need to stand up on ur own. thr's nobdy to help your anymore. your mus learn to b independent.
As your know.. our Sec 2 comprises of only Michelle & Diane . 2 LADIES for goodness.
So in de event whereby secondary 3 isn't available. i hope your can take up this responsibility and ensure everything run smoothly llike it suppose to be.
don't try to pon duty whn we're not around. you're not helping anybody at all. you're harming our CCA only. So, do have some sense of responsiblity ok?
& some common sense to put who inside to play the disc, cos not all of your know how to switch. But I'm sure your now should go & ask around how to okay? we seniors are there to teach, & you can ask ur bacth de ppl also. some of them know!

Mid - Year Exam

Today is honour day and at 12.30 before every thing start there was a test of slide and i went to set up the projector and then chun wee came and take over. At 1 chun wee and mr yeo set up the side projector and connect all then wire together and tape them and at 1.20 i came to help them and desmond was there too. at about 3+ most of the AVA member came and the dry run of the honour day started and it ended at 5.05 where the real thing almost starting and at 5.25 Mrs Koh came and the event started. And everything go as plan but at 7 the pounggol story we need to have live feed but something went wrong on the side projector in the hall , i think is the signal cannot pass throught the live feed wire so there id no signal on the projector or maybe the wire too lose but before that we have a live feed on the parde and it ok , so we need to check it when we got the time and the programme ended around 7.30 where we keep all the equipment and went to have some refreshment and went home.

Today we got a rehearsal for honour day for the Mcees and us. All of us who is on duty went for the rehearsal where we set up the Mics for the mcees and practice the lightning. At about 6p.m. our rehearsal ended and we all packed up and went back home.

14/4/2009

Today we have CCA where we carried on to do the podcast competition. We all completed the Episode 1 of the podcast and at 5.45 we all went home.

15/4/2009
Today we got a full dress rehearsal of the honour day and we also had to set up the live-feed. Wei Tian and me did the live-feed and Chun Wee and Jeremy did the projection of the live-feed then Wen Jun, Julian, Wani, Michelle, Ting Yi, Anna, Duncan, Ivan, Jasper did the backstage and Jia Kee, Diane, Rachel Adar, Priscilla and Desmond did the control room. We started the full dress rehearsal on about 3 and it ended around 6.55 and we all packed up and went back home.

16/4/2009

Today we got a rehearsal on International Friendship Day and Chun Wee, Me, Wen Jun, Ting Yi, Duncan and Desmond help out for the rehearsal. We did not do much as those people just need to rehearse thier speech and we all just stand by at the side and help when we are needed to. At 5+ we were asked to help to tied the tag for honour day on the chair and we all ended on 6+ and packed up and went back home.

Wei Tian and me did the live-feat where we connect the camera from the front of GO to hall and Chun Wee and Jeremy were in-charge of the side projector and Wen Jun, Julian, Michelle, Wani, Anna, Ting Yi, Duncan, Jasper,Jia Kee, Jacob, Adar, Priscilla, Rachel, Desmond and Diane were on duty at the hall. We rehearsal a full by starting with the time the GOH arrive and till the performance end. The whole rehearsal end about 7 and we all packed up and went back home.

Tuesday(31/3/2009)
Today we had an assemly about SYF performance where performing group that join SYF perform their item for the school to see. Almost all sec 3 and sec 2 plus Rachel, Ting Yi and Anna did the duty. Even though we did not have rehearsal for the assembly, i think we did a good job.
After the assembly, we packed up and at 3.30 we went for CCA but Wen Jun, Michelle and me went to take recording for NAPFA while the rest went to do Podcast competition. And at 5.00 we went home.

Wednesday(1/4/2009-April Fool -_-lll)
Today we had rehearsal for honour day performance which consist of Dance group, Anklung, Choir, ELDDS, GO. Almost all Sec 3 and Sec 2 and Almost all Sec 1 came for duty. The rehearsal start at about 3.00pm and end about 5.00pm. After the rehearsal, we waited for the MCs to finish their speech rehearsal and packed up and then went back home.
